When your agency or department subscribes to US Directory Assistance we’ll assign a unique toll-free number. Your telephone switch will be programmed to re-direct directory assistance calls (e.g. 411) to that toll-free number. This step makes US Directory Assistance transparent to all phone users, allowing them to dial directory assistance in the customary manner.
